Hattie's 5th Birthday Party

Ben had a great time at his friend Hattie's party yesterday. It was at a local soft play and all the kids had a fantastic time together - all Ben's best buddies together at soft play - there was much screaming (in a good way!) and laughter. They even had a surprise visit from Santa...

Ben is very excited about the three Nativity shows he will be in next week and is doing a great job practising the songs (they are even going round and round my head all day!). Good luck Ben, we are looking forward to seeing you in the show next Thursday!

Let the Festivities Begin!

As quick as a flash, its the 1st of December again - where does the year go? We have a busy few weeks ahead of us...deep breaths and here we go...

Santa Claus Is Coming to (Chippenham) Town!

There was great excitement in Chippenham at the weekend as the man of the moment had taken time out of his very busy schedule to visit the town! And also abseil down the wall of the Angel Hotel and turn on the Christmas lights! What a guy!

Festival of Light at Longleat

We were very excited about going to see Longleat's Festival of Light and the display was amazing. We also had a look around Longleat House as they have decorated the rooms with a panto theme for Christmas, which was great fun. And even though it felt a tad early, we all enjoyed watching the singing Christmas tree and getting into the festive spirit.

Bonfire Night

We marked the occasion by lighting a few sparklers in the garden (we did go to a firework display in Chippenham the previous Saturday but forgot to take the camera!)

It was Children in Need day at Ben's school and they had to dress up as their favourite superhero...

Avebury

Tyntesfield and a very very very high up Clifton Suspension Bridge

Justin had a couple of days off work so we ventured down to Tyntesfield near Bristol (a National Trust property). What a beautiful place! We agreed it was the best National Trust place we have been to so far... As we were not too far from Bristol, we thought we would head over to the Clifton Suspension Bridge and walk from one end to another - put it this way, we wont be doing that again in a hurry! Check out the mini Isambard Kingdom Brunel with his top hat.
