First trip to London!

Ben really enjoyed his first trip to London, enjoying the sights and sounds of the big city. I am pleased to say Ben surprised me when we popped into the National Gallery and he asked to see the Van Gough section as they had studied his paintings at school - impressive! We visited Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Leicester Square, Downing Street, Hyde Park, saw the London Eye and even found time to spend half an hour in the Natural History Museum. Phew! Our legs were aching but a great day out had by all (more photos to follow once loaded up!)

Game Boy!

Ben and I had a great time at Swindon's computer museum. They had games consoles from the last 30 years which you could actually play. Ben was in his element and at only £1 entry fee for Ben, we will return!

Fun in the sun!

We had a fantastic time in Menorca, we spent lots of time of the beautiful beach, swimming in the sea (though I made a quick exit one day when one of the locals shouted 'Medusa!' which means Jellyfish) and enjoying the hotel with its great pool. Ben had lots of fun joining in the kids disco every night and also taking part in various activities at the hotel like T-shirt painting and his favourite activity - taking part in a Wii competition (he came third!). We had a great time but alas all holidays come to an end....so adios Menorca, until the next time!

Reading challenge complete!

Ben was delighted today to receive his certificate and gold medal for completing the library reading challenge - to read six books over the summer holidays and then talk about the books to one of the staff. Well done Ben!

Toot Toot! Steam Museum fun in Swindon

We had a great day on Monday visiting Swindon's Steam museum with Sebastian. The boys enjoyed the museum and the train journey to Swindon too. Fun times!
