We love Menorca!

We returned home this morning (sob!) after a fantastic holiday to Menorca. We had a great time, after a wet first day the rest of the week was very warm and sunny, the hotel and facilities were excellent (we even had a little garden with hammock and sun loungers) and we were only a short walk to the beach. The entertainment every evening was great - it started with a kids pirate show (which Ben was chosen to be in one night) then each night after the pirate show/kids disco there was different entertainment for all the family (a Take That tribute band, samba night, acrobatics, magic show to name a few...). Each morning Ben wanted to go to the Kids Club where we could leave him and he got on with the activities for a couple of hours (one morning the kids did T-shirt painting and you can see Ben's T-shirt in one of the pics) leaving Justin & I time to relax by/in the pool. We even took part in the Aquaerobics one morning - when you are on an 'all inclusive' holiday it was much needed!! Ben loved the holiday, when it was the kids disco every evening he learnt all the moves to the (annoyingly catchy!) songs they played, he really got stuck in and loved his moment on the stage as part of the show. We got Ben the CD of the kids disco songs and Ben has been playing it at home and doing all the dance routines.... We really did have a great holiday - very relaxing. Back to reality now - slowly getting used to the idea of cooking and washing up again! Farewell for now Menorca but sure to be back!

My cousins and me...

We had a great weekend in Cardiff spending quality time with Simon, Erin, Lucy and Henry as well as my cousin Toff, his wife Kelly and their two kids Joe and Oscar (Ben's second cousins!). And of course not forgetting Nana & Papa! The kids had loads of fun together mostly playing in the garden enjoying the sunshine (hurrah!).  Thanks to Nana & Papa for all their hard work and hospitality. It was so great to see everyone and we will miss them loads. Until the next time! (shame about Ben's lowered head in the group pic, a combination of too much going on and not eating and just basic burn out!)

Pizza Pals

It was Ben's friend Eleanor's birthday last Friday and they kindly asked us to join them for a birthday meal in Pizza Hut as we could not make the party the next day. We had a lovely time, though it was a bit like chaperoning a date as Ben and Eleanor declare themselves to be boyfriend and girlfriend ;-)
We managed to get the three of them (Eleanor's little brother Jensen is in the pic) to sit still for two seconds while we took a photo...
